FAQ’s

Many of our selling customers are new to boot selling, in fact lots of people tried selling at a boot sale once before but had such a bad experience they never tried it again.

We hope to change peoples negative experience of boot selling. We hope you enjoy our events so much you can make boot selling a serious hobby and of course sell your unwanted items, free up some space at home and generate some extra cash for yourself and the family.

So to help you get started on your boot selling experience we have put together some questions and answers based on what are customers need to know and have we have previously been asked. but please note we currently operate at 2 differet veunues so the questions below may not relate specifically to the venue you are looking at.

We also suggest that you look at the booking form for the specific venue first as some questions are answerd by the form and then if you still have questions please see below.

Q:- Do I need to Bring my own Table?
A:- Yes if you have access to a table or tables please always bring your own, we cannot supply large numbers of tables at any of our venues.  We suggest you put your table into your car last so it will be the first thing out of your car (car boot savvy advice). If you definitely need to hire a table please book early and request the table at a charge of £2.50. You may be asked to pay a deposit if you hire a table as they are in such short supply
Q:- Why can’t I sell or buy before the sale opens to the public and the buyers are let in?
A:- We have introduced the no selling or buying before we open to the public for two reasons, the first reason is because people selling do not want to be hassled about the price of items before they have finished setting up their stalls. Then we have also made a commitment to the buyers that they (as buyers) are the first to have a buying opportunity on the great items on sale.  We believe this is a very fair rule and it serves the sellers and the buyers very well.  REMEMBER You will get a better price for your items once the public are let in and stick to your guns on price within the first hour as the initial flood of customers are looking for your best items at the cheapest price.
Q:- How do I pay?
A:- If you haven’t been asked to pay in advance (on certain items you will need to pay in advance) we will collect your pitch fee during the sale.  We think it’s best to let you get some cash in before we collect your pitch fee.
Q:- What Time does the sale start and finish and what time should I turn up?
A:- Our sales now have different times for each venue the general rules are:-
Saturdays Indoor Sellers arrive at 7.30am and you have until 8.30am to set up we then sell from 8.30am – 11.00am
Sundays Indoor Sellers arrive between 8.40 and 9.20am  you will have until 10.00am to set up we then sell from 10.00am – 12.00 noon.
Q:- Do I need to book a space in advance? I normally just turn up at boot sales for selling.
A:- Yes you definitely need to book in advance and give us your contact details, we have lots of space at all of our sales but these are very popular venues so we may be full on the morning of the sale and if your not booked in and confirmed your not guaranteed a space. You can book in right up to a few hours before the sale starts, this is best done by the online form on this website or if its very late you can book in by text.
Q:- Can I bring a clothes rack to the indoor sales? I normally have my table and a clothes rack at boot sales.
A:- Yes you can bring a clothes rack, as long as you stay within your allocated space,  you can use a table or clothes rack.  Please note 90% of the stalls are on a straight line please measure your rack and table at home, You must stay within your booked space in a straight line. If you need a bigger space please book this in advance.
Q:- How busy do the indoor sales get?
A:-  We are now one of the biggest boot sales in Liverpool (definitely the biggest indoor).  We advertise in many of the local weekly newspapers and we have a great database of car boot buyers and sellers who we contact regularly to keep them updated on when and where are sales are.  In general we average 300 buyers per sale, please note our sales run for 2 – 2.5 hours.
We hope these FAQ’s help you decide whether our boot sales are the right sales for you to attend either as a seller or a buyer.  If you think you need any further help please give us a ring on the Boot Sale Hotline 07914 772 019, if we don’t answer the phone straight away please leave a voicemail and we will get back to you as quickly as possible.
